About Roger Edwards

Roger Edwards (born Roger Douglas Gales Jr.) was born on December 14, 1981, in Oakland, California, USA. Raised by his mother Rosemary in the Bay Area, he discovered a passion for acting in high school, but his career was interrupted by a stint in the U.S. Army, including a 12-month deployment to Iraq. After his military service he returned to acting, frequently playing soldiers, agents, and police officers. He is also credited as a stunt performer and producer.

His filmography spans 2006 to 2014: The Guardian (2006, Roger Cable), Stop-Loss (2008, Clerk), Friday Night Lights (2010, Banger), Lone Star (2010, TSA Officer #2), Chase (2011, Officer Tillman), Spy Kids: All the Time in the World (2011, OSS Agent #2), Bad Kids Go to Hell (2012, Craig Cook), Freelancers (2012, Ricky), Captain Phillips (2013, Navy SEAL Group), Rectify (2013, Young Guard), The Retrieval (2013, Free Camp Leader), Exists (2014, Todd), Circus of the Dead (2014, T.C.), and Killer Women (2014, Moe Grayson). His two most substantial roles are Craig Cook in Bad Kids Go to Hell (2012) and Todd in Exists (2014), a sci-fi thriller directed by Eduardo Sánchez, on which he also performed uncredited stunts. An upcoming project, A Perfect Date, is listed on his credits but has no release date yet.
