Sasha Roiz is a Canadian actor known for his commanding screen presence, recurring roles in hit science fiction and fantasy series, and versatile television work. Born in Jaffa, Israel, to Russian-Jewish parents, Roiz grew up in Montreal, Canada, where he initially pursued a career as a drummer in various indie bands before catching the acting bug. He trained at the prestigious Guildford School of Acting in England and subsequently transitioned to screen acting, making his television debut in the early 2000s with guest appearances on series like Largo Winch and Mutant X.

Roiz's career gained substantial momentum with recurring and regular roles in prominent television dramas. He landed early notable parts in sci-fi and action favorites such as Caprica (playing Sam Adama), Warehouse 13 (as Marcus Diamond), and The Mentalist. His major international breakthrough came when he was cast as Captain Sean Renard in the hit NBC supernatural fantasy series Grimm (2011–2017), a role he played across all six seasons that cemented his global fan base. In recent years, Roiz has continued to maintain a robust television presence with recurring roles and guest appearances in major series such as Suits, 9-1-1, Chicago Med, and Departure, alongside active involvement in philanthropic and community causes.
